I am not very happy about, but I can’t be sulking about it forever and guess that I am going to let the grudge go and come to terms with my husband going on scuba diving holidays in Cuba, I do love him after all, and I do know that he does deserve a break after such a hectic working life, I just wish he had chosen a romantic escape with me instead of a “manly” getaway with the guys, but I guess he and his work mates need to blow off some steam and ease the working tensions together. It’s just that I initially felt so terribly jealous that he gets to travel so much for work and on top of that he was going away of his own accord and without including me in his plans.

It’s true that his work travel cannot be considered fun or leisure time…but still, a part of him resented him for it and I was shocked to hear that he had planned a holiday with the guys without as much as consulting me first. Especially when I really think that he should be spending time with me and the kids, it really hurt me that he hadn’t considered my opinion or my emotions.

However, since he already had this planned, and a bit of fresh air will do him good, I decided to let him go ahead and go. I am definitely going to get away soon and have already talked with my sister and her friends about a fun trip abroad while our parents have offered to stay with the children.
