My mother recently offered to help me plan my next holiday, she said that I needed time off so badly that she would even chip in to help me with the costs of going away to somewhere exotic, fun and nice where I could totally de-stress from all non-stop hard work I’ve been doing lately. She was right; I sorely needed an escape from my hectic, workaholic life, especially after going on a full year of handling two part-time jobs with no break! So, as soon as she suggested it, I couldn’t say no and literally jumped of joy and excitement at the chance to get away for a bit and forget about all my responsibilities for a week or two.

I got my hand on a really affordable and exciting package that consisted a twin-centre holiday, staying at a lovely hotel in Havana and a longer stay at a fabulous all inclusive hotel in the famous beach resort of Varadero. Now I’m really counting down the minutes until I get to Cuba and enjoy fantastic holidays with my husband and children in a place where I can totally chill out and perhaps learn a bit of culture and history.
